The National Museum of Energy and Technology (MUNET) is one of the most important scientific, technological and cultural dissemination centers in the country. Its spaces are dedicated to the energy field through the use of immersive environments, interactive multimedia and augmented reality.
The MUNET has meant a rescue project for a sector of the Chapultepec Forest through the relocation of wild flora and fauna.NOVIDESA IKOS I16 insulating panels were used for this project due to their lightweight properties and self-supporting system with metal inserts, providing its interior and exterior walls, facade and roof of the main body, with prominent mechanical resistance.
IKOS I16 made it possible to cover an area of 2,400 m² after 15 days, generating significant savings in terms of materials and labour.
Thanks to the combination of NOVIDESA Advanced Construction Systems with thermal insulation characteristics, the property saves up to 50% in energy costs to control its interior temperature.
The design of this project and the usability provided by its materials make it a significant sensory experience. Its accesses are surgical cuts highlighting the different elements of the architectural program with which it was designed; In addition, its topography recovers the natural area of the area, completely renewing its identity and distinguishing a museum whose scope transcends to become a technology park.
