Description sent by the project team.
We started the Urvita project by rethinking the definition of housing. We understand that in most cases, housing is valued for two main qualities: as a place of habitation / development and as an asset / investment. However, we believe that the place of residence should bring much more value to its inhabitants. We believe that a home must contribute cultural, social and economic values, while promoting a better quality of life.
We are facing a current urban crisis, the reality is that our governments and most real estate developers are neither concerned nor busy making better cities. We are tired of the expansion of the urban sprawl, of the unemployment (or sub-occupation) of the city centers and of the architectural inefficiency, factors that only reduce the quality of life, increase the periods of transfer and environmental pollution. We have detected that young people no longer want to live on the outskirts and are looking for contemporary solutions to experience the city from their centers.
We believe that it is possible to add value to a city, room by room.
With the concern of promoting a cosmopolitan lifestyle and a better city, we started with a housing concept that, based on a contemporary income model, allows you to live the Magical Quarters of San Pedro in stays from one day to one year.
We imagine inclusive spaces full of life, we want a place where social classes and people of different ages can coexist. This project is the first approach to what we want from our society, where through a network of strategically located multifamily buildings, we promote a more pedestrian, denser, more heterogeneous and more sustainable city.
We see the Urvitas as true coexistence machines, they are buildings of high architectural and constructive quality with multiple uses and loft-type housing units, which are located in areas where there is not much land, but if there are many services and where a life is lived similar to that of the neighborhood. We like communities that interact and, although the design is intended for a young lifestyle, we have seen with Urvita Noe that the concept is well adopted by young and adult users.
Designed in a compact and efficient way, each room has better spatial qualities than the average offer, including high ceilings, landscaped terraces, air and natural light that allow superior climatic comfort, in addition to taking advantage of the natural views of the area.
Equipped with private, semi-private and public spaces, each Urvita campus offers multiple rooms, private and shared bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and dining room, laundry room, patios and service areas that allow all activities related to a home to be carried out. . In addition, the service of an Urvita includes high-speed internet and the hospitality provided by the team, offering their time and local knowledge to recommend good experiences around the area.
The first building in the network is Urvita Noe, located south of the old town of San Pedro Garza García. In this property 4 housing units were accommodated, which are offset vertically and horizontally to ensure that each one has outdoor spaces that also enjoy privacy. Although the building can hold up to 12 comfortable people, it only has 5 parking spaces, as we promote the use of alternative means of transport.
In constructive terms, Urvita Noe is an efficient project that took advantage of up to 90% of the pre-existing construction, adapting the spaces of an old single-family residence to create current homes. In the remodeling, some key construction solutions were carried out that made the work simpler and low maintenance, such as the use of apparent materials or sloping slabs to avoid parapets, allow higher ceilings and integrate the storm drainage system.
Urvita Noe is already operating and fully operational, hosting local and foreign residents, as well as tourists who prefer to stay in a current housing concept over those typical hotels. We are already developing the following Urvitas in the network, which we are sure will be generators of change and will help order development in Monterrey, improving the quality of life of citizens and providing social benefits at different levels.
